On July 11, 2023, the Official Journal of the European Union has published Commission Delegated Directives (EU) 2023/1437 to add a new mercury exemptions in Annex IV under Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS). This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

In Annex IV to Directive 2011/65/EU, the following entry 49 is added:
