Supplementary provisions (20221206, bureau no. 6)

This notice will be applied from December 28, reiwa 4. However, the application of annex 9 after the revision according to this notice can still be done according to the previous example until December 27, reiwa 6.

Translation:

The notice is effective from 28 December 2004. However, according to this circular, with regard to the application of the revised Table IX, the previous example can still be followed until 27 December 2006.

Purpose:

Designed to match the requirements of Schedule XII (based on IEC International standards). This announcement is effective from the date of publication for a transition period of 2 years, and the current Table 9 standards may apply until December 27, 2024.

New requirements for PSE circular certification after the standard update:

On August 26, 2022, the IECEE official website published the IEC62133-2 Japan deviation J62133-2(2021) (JP ND), which means that the CB report with Japan deviation can replace the PSE circular report and issue the PSE circular certificate. Customers can also directly choose to apply for PSE Circular certificates using the Japanese standard J62133-2(2021)(JIS C 62133-2:2020).

If the customer's battery or cell has passed the CB certification of IEC62133-2:2017, then the J62133 test needs to supplement the following difference test:

1. the battery cell 28 days constant voltage charging

2. cell and battery temperature cycle test

3. Battery low pressure simulation test

4. battery high rate charging test

5. battery overcharge protection function test
