Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality organization recently lanuched the new regulations on energy efficiency applications, bellow rules will be implemented since Friday, June14th, 2023:

1. New energy efficiency applications must be submitted through manufacturers or importers account.

2. Application will not be transferred to third parties from manufacturer or importer account (not relevant to supply chains) .

3. There will be no renewal applications that have not been submitted through the accounts of manufacturer or importers.

4. The addition of suppliers is limited to the accounts of manufacturers only.

Note: From January 1, 2024, all non-manufacturer or importer accounts will be cancelled.
