On May 12, 2023, Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) announced that 500 MHz of radio frequency spectrum in the 6 GHz frequency band (5925-6425 MHz) will be allocated to facilitate advanced Wi-Fi connectivity in Singapore. This additional spectrum will allow for greater digital innovation and the deployment of Wi-Fi 6E technology. IMDA anticipates that Wi-Fi 6E devices will be available commercially in Singapore by Q3 2023 with technical requirement as below:
