In April 2023, Iraq’s Communications and Media Commission (CMC) issued new regulations for type approval certification.

Below are the main points:

1.Family certificate is allowed for type approval and is issued for models with the same technical specifications with differences in model name.

2.CMC reserves the right to request a sample device.

3.High powered devices may be subject to licensing.

This regulation is effective immediately.
