In April 2023, Papua New Guinea’s National Information & Communications Technology Authority(NICTA) of Papua New Guinea has published the ICT Equipment Type Approval which is effective immediately.

Below are the main points:

1.Certificates are now valid for only 3 years.

2.NICTA will issue a renewal notice for certificates set to expire within 30 days, in which certificate holders must pay the renewal fee prior to the expiration date or face cancellation of the certificate.
