On February 9, 2023, the European Commission (EC) announced a one-month consultation on its proposal to regulate perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS), its salts and PFHxS-related compounds under Part A of Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 on persistent organic pollutants. According to the announcement, comments for the proposed regulation will be accepted until March 9, 2023.
