In September 2022, The InstitutoDominicano de lasTelecomunicaciones (INDOTEL) published Resolución No. 82-2022 which regulates operating conditions for low and very low power equipment in 5925-7125 MHz frequency band for general licensing scheme.
The main points are as below:
1. For indoor access points operating in 5925-7125 MHz, the maximum e.i.r.p. should not exceed 30 dBm.
2. For very low power devices, the maximum e.i.r.p. is lower than 14 dBm and it can be used for outdoors applications.
3. For devices operating under the control of an indoor access point in the 5925-7125 MHz, the maximum e.i.r.p. should not exceed 24 dBm.
4. Indoor access points and fixed devices operating in 5925-7125 MHz are prohibited in automobiles, trains, ships, airplanes, or unmanned aircraft; except for large aircraft flying above 3000 meters and indoor access points operating in the 5925-6425 MHz.
This new regulation is effective immediately.
