Based onstandard of IEC 60669-2-1:2021, Europe has also followed up on the requirements, enabling the use of the EU standard based on this version, and the fixed electronic switch controller has tightened technical control in Europe. The release of the standard also simultaneously released the EU-specific requirements, and the latest EU standard was updated to EN IEC 60669-2-1:2022/A11:2022. Compared with the previous EU version EN 60669-2-1:2004/A12:2010, it finally meets the latest requirements for smart products and is more suitable with its technical requirements. Compared with previous versions, the major changes are as follows:

Change one:

According to the development of wired protocol and lamp products, DC power supply was introduced, and 120V DC voltage was formally introduced into the scope of application of EN 60669-2-1;

Change two:

This standard will cover EN 60669-2-5, and the corresponding clause requirements are also transferred to this standard, so the requirements for HBES for buildings will be added. If the manufacturer declares that it is used in this environment, the corresponding standard clauses also need to be considered;

Change three:

On the basis of 60669-5-1 HBES (Home and Building Electronic Systems), this standard introduces BACS (Building Automation System), so that the intelligent system can be considered;

Change four:

This standard redefines the requirements for protection against electric shock. For high-voltage 25VAC and 60V DC dry environment use, 12V AC and 30V DC dry environment, the IP level is more stringent.
