On July 11, 2022, Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Télécommunications du Congo (ARPTC) has published Arrêté No. 34 which updates the terms and conditions for type approval of terminal equipment and radio installations. 

The main updates are as follows:

• The validity of certificates is extended to 5 years, instead of 2 years;

• A sample of the device is required for approval based on the regulation;

• All certificates issued prior to July 11, 2022 will maintain their validity;

• All other applications will fall under the scope of this new regulation.
