On June 13, 2022, the Eurasian Economic Commission adopted Resolutions 90 and 91, which amend below regulations for EAC certification of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU):
• TR CU 004/2011 (Safety of Low Voltage Equipment)
• TR CU 020/2011 (EMC)
Below are the main points:
1. Update the list of products that are not applicable to the TR CU 004/2011 regulation:
a. Second-hand products;
b. Products applicable to other regulations (TR CU 010/2011, TR CU 011/2011, TR CU 012/2011) (except cables, wires, etc.);
c. Products used for production and not used for commercial activities such as sale;
d. Built-in components;
e. Components that cannot be used alone.
2. Update the list of products that are not applicable to the TR CU 020/2011 regulation:
a. Products that are used in the production of other products and cannot be operated independently;
b. Passive components;
c. Second-hand products;
d. Medical products;
e. Other products (for military, nuclear, etc.);
f. For products that already meet the EMC requirements of other EAEU regulations.
This amendment will take effect from December 11, 2022.
