On May 12, 2022, the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority - CITRA issued Resolution No. 88 of 2022, approving the amendments to the WiFi Regulations, effective from the date of publication.

The new regulation covers the requirements for the unauthorized and authorized operation of WLAN devices. While the technical requirements of WLAN2.4 and 5GHZ remain the same, the technical requirements of WLAN 6GHZ have been added as follows:

1. The operating frequency range is 5925-6425 MHz

2. EIRP value is 200mW

3. Must comply with EN 303 687

4. Indoor use only
