On April 8, 2022, Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika (SDPPI) of Indonesia issued announcement No. 213/DJSDPPI.5/SP.04.09/04/2022, stating that subscriber station telecommunication equipment based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and/or International Mobile technology standards IMT-2020 (5G) must meet a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of at least 35%.

Effective from April 18, 2022, SDPPI applications for certification of cellular phones, tablet computers, handheld computers, and Wi-Fi Modem devices with LTE and/or 5G NR features must attach a TKDN certificate with a Domestic Content value of at least 35%.
