LUNA Background

The DLC released the final version of LUNA V1.0 on December 17, 2021. LUNA products meet the SSL V5.1 requirements for outdoor lighting, but also have attributes that may help limit light pollution, sky glow, and light trespass.

LUNA V1.0 Applicable Product Scope

Note：Floodlights, garage lights, hallway lights, track lights, LED tubes, and retrofit kits are not covered by LUNA V1.0;

In addition, LUNA only accepts products with a color temperature below 3000K (2200K-3000K), including color tunable products with a maximum color temperature of 3000K!

DLC LUNA V1.0 and DLC V5.1 can be applied at the same time without repeated testing。

For products with existing DLC V5.1 column name, since LUNA V1.0 has the same requirements as DLC V5.1 for light efficiency, color, light distribution and life span, it can be satisfied without repeated evaluation，note that the U level in the BUG needs to meet the requirements（except Outdoor Pole/Arm-Mounted Decorative Luminaires, Fuel Pump Canopy Luminaires and Specialty: Canopy Lighting, Directional Fuel Pump Canopy Luminaires, Transportation Category requirement is 2, all other categories are 1）, We can provide LUNA V1.0 reports without testing. For other evaluation of the baffle, Angle and control requirements, additional specifications shall be provided to meet the requirements.
