On February 3, 2022, The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia officially launched Wi-Fi 6E technology. Through the publication of the WLAN Regulations and the Specification for Data Communication Equipment operating in License-Exempt Frequency Bands, Wi-Fi 6E technology may now be used across the entire 5925-7125 MHz frequency band and may enter the Saudi market through the standard type approval process.
