On 24 June 2014, the European Union published 2014/81/EU on the Official Journal, the amendment to the Appendix C of Annex II to Directive 2009/48/EC on the safety of toys, added new requirement of Flame Retardants and BPA and goes into effect on 21 December 2015.
The Appendix C of Annex II to Directive 2009/48/EC is added as below:
Specific limit values for chemicals used in toys intended for use by children under 36 months or in other toys intended to be placed in the mouth
