The Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (ANATEL) in Brazil has opened Public Consultation No. 1 on January 11, 2022, proposing a public consultation on updating technical requirements for conformity assessment of Optical Network Terminal (ONT), Optical Line Terminal (OLT), and Optical Network Unit (ONU) equipment for optical fiber networks with passive network standards GPON, XGPON, and XGSPON. The proposal is open for public comments until March 11, 2022.
