Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2022/1/26

On November 29, 2021, the FCC released the KDB 447498 D04 (hereinafter referred to as D04) "Interim General RF Exposure Guidance". The document clearly states that D04 serves as a transitional RF exposure guidance document till March 31, 2022, before KDB 447497 D01 V07 takes effect on April 1st, 2022, replacing KDB "447498 General RF Exposure Guidance v06".  During the transition period, the current KDB447498 D01 V06 is still available, and customers can choose D06 or D04 according to their needs.

Compared with D06 V01r06, the change in D04 is mainly about the SAR exemption calculation formula, which has been officially published in FCC Part 1.1037, 2.1091 and 2.1093.

Summary

1. Compared with D06, most limits are tightened in D04. For example, for 2.4GHz / 3.6GHz / 5GHz (5GHz-6GHz), after the implementation of the new version of the implementation, most of the products (such as portable devices) using the relevant technology will be included in the scope of SAR test requirements.

2. The document only lists the reference limits of some frequencies. For the frequencies not mentioned, the relatively accurate exemption limits is to be obtained by interpolation.
