On December 7, 2021,  Brazil’s National Telecommunications Agency (Agencia Nacional de Telecomunicacoes, Anatel) authorized contracts for the use of radio frequencies in the 700MHz, 2.3GHz, 3.5GHz and 26GHz bands. Speaking at the event, President Jair Bolsonaro stated that by the middle of 2022, all capitals will have 5G. It is a leap for communications in Brazil and in IoT.
