On November 23, 2021, The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) of Saudi Arabia planned to open 5925-7125 MHz (6 GHz) frequency band for license-exempt use. CITC is on process to implement the decision through the use of regulations, technical specifications, and a WLAN regulatory document. At present, devices that use the 6 GHz band for license-exempt use, like Wi-Fi 6E, are unable to get type approval until CITC published official statements.
