Chile SUBTEL published Resolución 1321 Exenta

Subsecretaría de Telecomunicaciones (SUBTEL) in Chile has published Resolución 1321 Exenta on July 27, 2021, updating Resolución 1985 Exenta, the Fixed Technical Standard for Short Range Devices. These updates seek to better harmonize the regulation to international standards.


The following Articles were updated:

Article 1 – Item H – The frequency band 13553-13567 kHz and its corresponding maximum electric field intensity (20 mV/m at 30 meters) were added to the list regarding equipment used for medical applications.


Article 1–Item J.1 – “17 mW/MHz”was replaced with “17 dBm/MHz”.


Article 1 – Item J.1 –About the AP that operates in the frequency band 5,925 to 7,125 MHz adding a new paragraph after the fifth paragraph: "Notwithstanding what is mentioned in paragraphs three to five of this paragraph, devices may operate outdoors, using internal batteries, with average EIRP power. 17 dBm maximum. ".

 

Article 4 –replace the text with the following: "Failure to comply with the provisions of this resolution will give rise to the corresponding infringement liability, in accordance with the provisions of Title VII of Law 18,168, General Telecommunications.".
