Kuwait CITRA has implemented new regulation to extend their certificate validity from 1 year to 3 years. Manufacturers do not have to apply certificate renewal every year. All applications submitted from 12th, Sept, 2021, the certificate will be issued in 3 years validity and the application fee will also be increased.

According to the new regulation, main changes are as below:

1. Type Approval validity increased from 1 year to 3 years.

2. The original approval certificate number (Type Approval ID) will be maintained/unchanged in case of renewal certificate.

3. Renewal application can only start 3 months before expiry date, but no more than 20 days after expiry date. If no application is received within these limits, the certificate will be cancelled.

4. Application fee has increased.
