On July 21, 2021, the Official Journal of the European Union published Regulation (EU) 2021/1199 amending the entry 50 in Annex XVII to REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006), expanding the scope of PAHs restriction to granules or mulches are used as an infill material in synthetic turf pitches, in loose form on playgrounds or in sport applications. This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

In entry 50 of Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, the following paragraphs are added:
