NTRA New Regulation for Mobile Repeaters & DECT Phone
Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2021/6/25

NTRA has recently issued new regulations for the mobile repeaters& DECT phone with the aim to guarantee as much as possible the absence of any of their possible negative interference effects on the mobile calls and networks desired performance.

Similarly like mobile phones, after VoC issuance for a new model, the applicant will need to submit a sample (samples) to NTRA for local test. After the sample passes the local test, type approval department shall send a confirmation mail to Group A lab giving the green line to issue the PVoC for the new model shipments. Likewise, Group A labs are kindly requested not to issue the PVoC for a shipment of a new model before receiving such confirmation from NTRA.

Type Approval required documents and samples per model are as follow :

For Mobile repeaters, you’d also consider the following points in VoC/ PVoC procedure for them:

1) A suffix must be added to the repeater model name standing for the mobile operator as follows:

This suffix must be included on the label of the repeater, in the invoice of the shipment and in the VoC / PVoC certificates.

2) The repeater operational frequency bands must be restricted to the bands dedicated to the importing mobile operator. The dedicated mobile operators bands are currently published in the below link. LTE B41 hasn’t been published yet. For repeaters supporting it, please revert back to NTRA on case by case basis.
