Indonesia's largest cellular operator, Telkomsel, has launched its commercial 5G mobile services on May 27, 2021. It is now only available for use by limited steps in Greater Jakarta, Solo, Medan, Balikpapan, Denpasar, Batam, Surabaya, Makassar and Bandung. Telkomsel operates 5G networks using spectrum at 2300 MHz.The deployment of 5G also marks that from now on Indonesia is entering the simultaneous stage of 4G and 5G operations.
