After Brexit, what standards should be tested for toys exported to the UK
The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy published the notice of designated standards for toy safety in support of the Toy (Safety) Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1881). This notice confirms that the references to standards listed in Annex I to this notice are published for the purposes of regulation 3A of S.I. 2011/1881 and accordingly are designated pursuant to that regulation in relation to England and Wales and Scotland. This will take effect from 1 January 2021.

What other requirements should be met for products placed on the UK market besides the relevant testing standards?
• Meet the UK Regulatory Framework and Requirement
• Where applicable, Product Conformity Assessment by the UK Certification Body is required
• Applicable UK Conformity Assessment Marking (UKCA)
Products that have been put on the UK market before January 1, 2021
Before 1 January 2021, toys that have been put on the UK market can continue to be sold in the UK and the finished goods can still be placed on the UK market after 1 January 2021 with the existing marking and the notified body number.
Use of Conformity Markings (UKCA, CE)

Please note that the "CE and UNKI" marking is mandatory when the finished products placed on the Northern Ireland market are subject to mandatory third-party conformity assessment by the UK Conformity Assessment Body. The UKCA and "CE and UNKI" markings are not accepted by the European Union.
Recommendations and precautions for putting toy products on the UK market
• If your toy products are imported to the entire United Kingdom (including Great Britain and Northern Ireland), it is recommended that you should use both the UKCA marking and the CE marking.
• Once you use the UKCA and CE markings at the same time, your products must have their respective importer addresses in the United Kingdom and the European Union, and must meet the requirements of the UK and EU regulations at the same time.
• You need to prepare corresponding technical documents in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the UK and EU.
• You need to prepare the Declaration of Conformity (DOC) for the UK market and the EU market respectively according to the requirements of the UK and EU regulations.
