On October 26, 2020, NBTC decided to reject application for WWAN user equipment that only supports partial band of band 28 and band 41.

The main points are:

1. Background: WWAN user equipment that only supports partial band can cause Thailand WWAN network to operate inefficiently due to incomplete bandwidth.

2. Main frequencies affected are:

3. New Requirements: User equipment must support full bands in accordance with either the NBTC Notification regarding IMT frequency plan or as per 3GPP standards.

4. Additional Notes:

• For products that support partial bands which have been approved previously, NBTC has verbally confirmed that their certificates are still valid.

• NBTC may request that certificate holder of equipment using partial bands, to display information that their product only supports partial bands.
