ChemSec Adds Six Substances to SIN List
Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2021/3/10

Swedish NGO ChemSec has added six substances to its Substitute It Now (SIN) list, following classification decisions under the EU’s classification, labelling and packaging (CLP) Regulation, and the recent addition of some to the REACH candidate list.

The SIN list comprises hazardous substances used in a wide variety of articles that meet EU criteria for substances of high concern (SVHCs) under REACH.

Inclusion on the list, which a number of brands and manufacturers follow, implies that the chemicals pose a threat to human health and the environment and should be removed from use as soon as possible.
