On September 1, 2020, the Brazil regulatory agency, the Brazil National Telecommunications Corporation (ANATEL), issued a new Act No. 4776. This new regulation is a supplement and update to regulation No. 14448.
For vehicle-mounted radars operating at 76-77GHz, the frequency range has been extended to 76-81GHz. The average power limit is 50 dBm EIRP, and the peak power limit is 55 dBm EIRP.
In addition to the 76-81 GHz automotive radar, Act 4776 regulation also updated the requirements for the following equipment or systems:
(1)Vehicle-mounted radar operating at 46.7-46.9 GHz;
(2)Liquid level detection transmitter-sensor working at 76-81 GHz;
(3)Equipment working in the 5.150-5.350 MHz frequency band;
(4)Vehicle radar system operating at 22-29 GHz;
(5)Vehicle communication system operating in the frequency range of 5.850-5.925 MHz;
(6)Media sharing systems operating in the 5.150-5.350 MHz, 5.470-5.725 MHz and 5.725-5.850 MHz frequency bands.
