India BIS Adds 7 Kinds of Compulsory Certification Products

On October 1st, 2020, The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India issued an announcement on the implementation of Phase V of BIS’CRS, adding seven new compulsory products. This announcement will be enforced on April 1, 2021, six (6) months after the date of its publication.

 

Products in the mandatory list can’t be imported or sold without BIS certificates. Seven new compulsory products as follow:
