UAE TRA Requires Label and New QR Code on All Product Package

On June 17, 2020, The Regulatory Authority of the United Arab Emirates (TRA)issued a notice on new labeling requirements for TRA certified product. This rule comes into force immediately but already-existing approved product in the market does not need to change its label.

The main changes are:

Besides that, there are other requirements for the above conformity mark:

1. Outer package shall contain statement card as seen above.

2. Labels can be marked in black and white.

3. The QR code should contain basic information shown in the middle box which shows:

• Dealer ID

• Type Approval Certificate Number

• Product Model

• Type of Equipment
