On July 8th, ANATEL published an official letter No 417 guiding its users for the new regulations about 5G, as on our previous news about ANATEL, right now there are no laboratories in Brazil ready to do the 5G NR testing so until there are, it is possible to accept 5G NR test reports issued by foreign labs.

For now, you can choose between presenting foreign test or apply without any related test report and you will have until November 9th of the current year to present a valid test report for 5G technology.

In case the device fails the test you will have to recall all the products that have been sold or commercialized. ANATEL is expecting that local laboratories will be able to perform this kind of test.
