On July 7,2020, the World Trade organization (WTO) circulated two proposals from the European Union (EU) announcing its intention to amend exemptions in Annex III and Annex IV under Directive 2011/65/EU(RoHS 2.0)through Notification G/TBT/N/EU/725 and G/TBT/N/EU/726.

According to Notification G/TBT/N/EU/725, in Annex III to Directive 2011/65/EU, the following entry 45 is added:

According to G/TBT/N/EU/726, in entry 42 of Annex IV to Directive 2011/65/EU, the second paragraph is replaced by the following: "Expires on 30 June 2026.":
