VN/ViệtnamTEC issued the phase 2 for mandatory testing and certification scheme. The main points are as below:
1. Additional products that fall under the category below are classified as phase 2 of MTCTE:
a. Transmission Terminal Equipment (SDH Equipment, Multiplexing Equipment)
b. PON Family of Broadband Equipment (PON ONT, PON ONU, and PON OLT)
c. Feedback Devices
2. Applications for testing and certification of products under phase 2 of MTCTE shall be acceptable on MTCTE portal starting from Jun 25th, 2020.
3. The date of acceptance of test results/test reports from ILAC accreditedlabs shall be extended up to Sep, 30th 2020 as relaxation to MTCTE procedure. Further, this relaxation shall available for test results/ test reports for all requirements of Essential Requirement except Safety and EMI/EMC requirements. In this transitional period, a temporary certificate valid for 2 years will be issued.
4. The requirement of labeling on certified products shall be exempted for a period of six months w.e.f the date of implementation of this order (i.e. Apr, 1st 2021).
5. Implementation date: Oct 1st, 2020.
