After finishing NBTC certification, many people then will start to prepare for mass production confidently but usually meet problems: How to prepare the label and user manual? Don’t worry, useful knowledge is summarized as follows, let’s have a look together!
I. Marking
1. Warning for technical standard conformity
“เครื่องโทรคมนาคมและอุปกรณ์นี้ มีความสอดคล้องตามมาตรฐานหรือข้อกำหนดทางเทคนิคของ กสทช.”
Translation: This telecommunication equipment conforms to the standard or technical requirements of NBTC
The marking is to be displayed on user's manual, packaging, or additional sheet inside packaging or electronic displaying on the product screen (for Class A and Class B, it is mandatory to display this marking. For SDoC, it is recommended to display)
2. Warning regarding safety to human health
“เครื่องวิทยุคมนาคมนี้มีอัตราการดูดกลืนพลังงานจําเพาะ (Specific Absorption Rate - SAR) อันเนื่องมาจากเครื่องวิทยุคมนาคมเท่ากับ ___W/kg ซึ่งสอดคล้องตามมาตรฐานความปลอดภัยต่อสุขภาพของมนุษย์จากการใช้เครื่องวิทยุคมนาคมที่คณะกรรมการกิจการโทรคมนาคมแห่งชาติประกาศกําหนด”
Translation: This radio communication equipment has the specific absorption rate (SAR) of ___ W/kg as related to the equipment, which is in compliance with the Safety Standard for the Use of Radio communication Equipment on Human Health announced by the National Telecommunications Commission.
Note:
a) This marking is exempted to products with output power not over 100 mW EIRP
b) Radio communication equipment, of which the electromagnetic radiation component is, in normal use, positioned close to the user’s head, or less than 20 centimeters from the body of the user; required marking
The conformity with the Safety Standard shall be stated in the instruction manuals, or presented on the side of the packaging, or provided as additional documents packed together with such equipment.
II. Labelling
1. Marking for technical standard conformity (for Class A and Class B only)
Class A
Class B
The supplier shall display the mark on the telecommunication equipment, product package or the user's manual or electronic displaying the mark on telecommunication equipment screen. In case supplier would like to display as electronic mark, supplier shall describe how to display the electronic mark on that telecommunication equipment screen, by publish on user’s manual or providing supplementary documents contained in the product package.
This label shall be purchased at NBTC when customer imported products to Thailand.
2. QR code label (size: 5cmx5cm).
Noted: this new label requirement is effective from 6 March 2019
Type 1: Radio communication equipment that require license
Translation: Whoever possess or use this radio communication equipment or set up radio communication station shall receive license from license officer. In case of violation of section 6 or 11, one will be subject to penalty as per section 23 of Radio communication Act B.E. 2498 which include fine penalty not over 100,000 baht or imprison not over 5 years, or both.
Type 2: Radio communication equipment that is license exempted (Products under control by SDoC, Class A and Class B fall in this type)
Translation: This radio communication equipment is exempted to possess license, user license, or radio communication station license as per NBTC notification regarding radio communication equipment and radio communication station has been exempted for license according
to radio communication act B.E.2498
The QR code label should be printed on user manual, shown on packaging, or provided as additional sheet put inside packaging which contain information.
