On 25 May 2017, the Official Journal of the European Union published Directive (EU) 2017/898 amending BPA limit in toys for children under 36 months or other toys intended to be placed in the mouth under Appendix C of Annex II in the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC. This amendment will take into force on the twentieth day following the publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and come into operation from 26 November 2018.
