On 10th April, the INMETRO, released the ordinance no. 86 and resolved to establish the following provisions based on Inmetro nº 144/2015 and to declare open, from the date of publication of this order in the Official Gazette of the Union, the period of 15 (fifteen) days for the presentation of suggestions and criticisms related to the proposed texts. This ordinance was in public consultation and must be released within the next months.

Art. 1 It is not allowed the conduction of processes for certification of LED lamps based on prototypes.  

Art. 2. Product collections for the purpose of conducting tests prior to the start of the LED lamp certification process are not allowed. 

Art. 3 Each LED lamp certification process must have its respective test report, observing the family formation criteria, defined in the Inmetro ordinance no. 144/2015, not being allowed the use of the same test reports for different processes of Certification.  

Art. 4 The processes for certification of LED lamps that are in progress, but which did not have the issuance of the respective certificate of compliance, shall comply with the provisions of this ordinance within 08 (eight) months, counted from the date of publication of this ordinance.  

Art. 5 The remaining provisions contained in Portaria Inmetro nº 144/2015 are maintained.  

Art. 6 This ordinance shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Union.
