On 11 April, 2017, The Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) released notification, intend to update the inspection standards of toys by adopting the revised version of CNS 4797-3, which is cited in CNS 4797 and published on 15 July 2015. The revisions mainly involve new requirements for "acoustics," "toy scooters" and "magnets". In addition, the notice also lists out all inspection standards originally cited in CNS 4797 for ease of understanding.

Proposed date of entry into force: 1 January 2018
