Children’s &Infant Wear

On the published spot check report of September, Guangdong, Sichuan, Henan and Hebei Municipal Administrations for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s and infant wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 31701-2015 “Safety Technical Code for Infants and Children Textile Products.” The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry cleaning, colorfastness to saliva, strap swing strength, heavy metals, attachment strength and others.

Among the inspection, 120 batches of samples tested by  Guangdong province, with 17 batches failing inspection. All the 25 batches tested by Hebei province were qualified. 10 batches were tested by Sichuan Province, with 2 batches found to be unqualified. And 1 batch of the total 30 batches tested by Henan Province failed.

Primary reasons for failure: pH value and strap swing strength.

Bedding Articles

In September, Hebei, Ningxia, Sichuan and Guangdong Proivnces Municipal Administrations for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for bedding articles.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18383-2007 "General technical requirements for products with filling materials" and GB18401 “National general safety technical code for textile products.” The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, colorfastness to saliva ,fiber content , filling materials and others.

Among the inspection, 14 batches of samples tested by Ningxia province,3 batches failed. All 30 batches tested by Hebei province were qualified. 30 batches were tested by Sichuan Province, with1 batch found to be unqualified. And 8 batches of the total 60 batches tested by Guangdong Province failed inspection.

Student Wear

In the last half year, Hebei and Ningxia Provinces Municipal Administrations for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for student wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products," GB/T 23328-2009 "Woven Garments for Students" and QB/T 22854-2009 "Knitted School Uniform."

The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to rubbing, label, fiber content, seam strength at back rise and stability to washing.

As a result of the inspection, 3 of the total 37 batches failed.

Knitted Cashmere Products

In the last half year, Ningxia Province Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for knitted cashmere products.

A spot check was conducted on de-haired cashmere according to GB 18267-2013 "Cashmere."

The key items inspected on these samples were average diameter, diameter, length, the variation coefficient, average length of the rate of short-staple and rough, impurity rate, different color fiber content, fiber content of any other inanimate thing.

A spot check was conducted on knitted cashmere goods according to GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products" and FZ/T 73009-2009 "Cashmere Knitting Goods." The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, label, fiber content, pilling resistance and bursting strength.

All the goods were found to be qualified.

Casual Wear

In the second quarter, Shenzhen Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for casual wear.

This spot check was conducted according to GB 18401-2010 "National general safety technical code for textile products."

The key items inspected on these samples were formaldehyde, pH value, banned Azo dyestuff, colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration, colorfastness to dry rubbing, label, fiber content and others.

The spot check inspected 169 batches from 81 companies; 7 batches failed. Primary reasons for failure: colorfastness to water, colorfastness to perspiration and banned Azo dyestuff.

Children’s Footwear

In 2016, Henan Province Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce launched a special product quality supervision and inspection for children’s footwear.

Products from 16 footwear companies were inspected; all products passed inspection.
