OEHHA intend to add PFOA & PFOS in Prop 65

On September 16, 2016, The California Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) intends to list perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) as known to the state to cause reproductive toxicity under the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (Known as CA 65).

The publication of this notice marks the start of a 30-day data comments period, ending at 5:00 p.m. on October 17, 2016.
Once the above substances are included in the list of Prop 65, manufacturers and suppliers shall bear corresponding liabilities and obligations under Prop 65.
