From February 16 to 20, 2025, the Gulf Cooperation Council Standardization Organization (GSO) held the "2025 GSO Notified Bodies Annual Meeting" in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. BACL was invited to attend this event as a designated body.

The conference revolved around the 8th series of meetings of the GSO Notified Bodies Cooperation Group (GNBCG), aiming to coordinate law enforcement among GSO member states and promote regional exchanges and cooperation. At the meeting, GSO experts respectively elaborated on the implementation of technical regulations on low-voltage electrical equipment, children's toys, energy efficiency, water-saving products, and other areas in the Gulf region. They shared the expansion plan for the list of controlled products, discussed the implementation plan for new technical regulations, and addressed current challenges along with corresponding solutions.

During the meeting, BACL experts actively participated in the discussion and had in-depth exchanges with participants on the latest energy efficiency regulations implementation plans and requirements in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen, Oman and other countries, cooperation and communication among GSO conformity assessment stakeholders, G-Mark certification and other topics.
